What our clients say

We got to work with Richard, and it was clear to us he had experience and confidence in our case. We were impressed also by the speed, regularity and efficiency in the communications we had.

Important judgments due for ELS litigation team

The ELS Legal litigation team has had its busiest ever calendar year.

December saw no let up for the litigation team who represented a property developer at an arbitration hearing for their professional negligence claim against an architect who they say negligently advised them in respect of a development in central London. Judgment is expected to be delivered by the end of January.

ELS also attended a mediation for a client we represent who has a significant claim in respect of contractual relationship with a hedge fund. That claim is due for trial next summer.

Since successfully winning one of The Lawyer’s top 20 cases of 2016, the ELS litigation team has continued to be successful. A victory for ELS earlier this year in a fraud claim against a prominent businessman has been followed by further successes and instructions on high value, complex litigation.

ELS has been expanding its presence in China and is currently instructed through one of the largest firms in Shanghai in respect of a breach of contract claim that its client has in respect of some business it carried out in the UK.
