Caitlin qualified in 2017 and is a solicitor in the litigation department.

Caitlin completed her training contract at ELS. During her training contract she spent 3 months seconded to the in-house mergers and acquisitions department at Liberty Global.

The focus of her work is high value complex disputes, banking and general commercial disputes for both corporate clients and high net worth individuals. Caitlin assisted managing partner Richard Spector in the high profile case of Harlequin Property (SVG) Limited and others v Wilkins Kennedy which included attending hearings in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Caitlin also regularly assists the corporate department with various corporate finance transactions and mergers and acquisitions.

Background

Caitlin grew up in Canada and graduated from the University of Toronto with a BA Honours Degree in Political Science and History. She then decided to pursue a career in law and completed her LLB Law Degree at the University of Leeds.  Following this she completed the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in London.

Recent experience

Caitlin recently assisted Richard Spector and Matthew Beilin in a claim for fraudulent misrepresentation. The team successfully obtained summary judgment for excess of £2 million. Caitlin is currently assisting with enforcement proceedings.
