Roger graduated from LSE in 1979 and qualified as a Solicitor in 1982. Roger did his articles at Clifford Turner (now Clifford Chance) and after 2 years as an assistant solicitor joined D. J Freeman. Roger was a partner at D. J Freeman for a number of years before moving to join Orchard also as a partner. Roger is now a consultant with ELS Legal. Roger is a property lawyer and has a high level of expertise in both commercial and residential property. He deals with all matters relating to property. He has acted in relation to major property transactions in buying and selling, leases , finance and development.

Roger acts for a large number of bridging finance providers and is consequently skilled in all aspects of secured lending. He is the author of the Restaurant and Pub Volume of the Encyclopedia of Forms and Precedents

Roger has speciality in licence trade matters. He deals regularly with buying, selling, and leasing of bars, pubs and restaurants and hotels.

Roger is a keen cook and photographer, School Governor, and loves skiing.
